Born in 1978, Turgut Oglu completed his secondary and high school education in Istanbul. He received his bachelor degree from the department of Theology in Cairo, Egypt. He studied journalism and writing in Istanbul in 2013. Oglu worked as the Middle East correspondent of an established media organization between 2013-2017. He settled in London in 2017 and continues to write in various publications. He participated in conferences and roundtables at the United Nations and spoke on various political affairs and specifically on the Turkish political transition. Since 2019, he has been writing a weekly political column published in the Independent Arabia newspaper. Most recently, Oglu co-founded the London Today Arabic online new website which was launched in April 2020.
